At the center, a geometric crown with soft edges asserts its presence, like a graphic sign placed right in the middle of the composition. John Beckley builds it with blue and turquoise flat areas crossed by colored lines and splashes, giving this motif a very vivid energy. Behind it, broad light diagonal bands cross the dark surface, structure the space and create architectural depth. The black and gray background, marked by traces and scratches, evokes an urban environment against which the colors burst forth. The whole retains a tension between the rigor of the sign and the spontaneity of the splashes, which gives the crown a very assertive presence.
