A large turquoise circle, fragmented into several rings, seems to build itself in successive layers above a light background worked in transparency. Around this round axis, John Beckley organizes a crossing of vertical and oblique bands, where fuchsia, bright blue and black are stacked, striped, scratched. The white splashes and rapid strokes add an electric energy, the composition vibrating from within. Up close, the layering of textures, from fine traces to denser areas, makes one want to follow each trajectory of color. The whole retains a great lightness, carried by the contrast between the luminous background and this network of lines in motion.
