John Beckley anchors it on a very simple horizontal line, which separates a luminous upper space from a more neutral lower area, evoking a tranquil ground. Around the colored core, white, black and dark red splashes add relief and a sense of matter in motion. Fine, calligraphic curves run along the horizon and link the different parts of the image. The whole retains a very readable structure, while allowing this vibrant heart to pulse in the midst of the surrounding calm.
