White and black trajectories cross the surface diagonally, as if linking together the large colored blocks that structure the image. John Beckley organizes the composition into powerful zones, where deep violets, intense greens and luminous yellows intersect, separated by dark bands and lighter passages. As one gets closer, one discovers striations, controlled drips and thicknesses that give real relief to these flat areas. The curved lines, laid over this vertical and horizontal mesh, bring a sensation of continuous circulation, of luminous pulse, that animates the entire work.
