Large dark and light curves cross the intense blue of the background, as if the space were cut through by supple arcs that rise and intersect. John Beckley layers transparent veils over these lines, revealing in places denser textures speckled with greens and yellows. The orange flashes, projected and stretched at the center, bring a vivid energy that contrasts with the fluidity of the translucent bands. As one lingers over the details, one discovers a very rich play of surfaces, between smooth flat areas, grainy zones, and fine graphic lines. The whole retains an impression of continuous movement, the curves seeming to continue unfolding in the luminous blue.
