Light concentrates at the center of the canvas, in a yellow and white rectangle that seems to open a passage in the midst of the colors. Around this dazzling heart, John Beckley arranges red, blue and green bands, organized into vertical and horizontal blocks that build the idea of a tunnel. The thick layers, visible up close, create reliefs where the tones blend in places and clash elsewhere, giving the peripheral dark field a very dense energy. The whole retains an architectural movement, evoking colored walls that tighten toward this central area flooded with light.
