Three vertical columns set the pace of the composition, like clean openings cut into a field of very dense color. Around these rectangles, John Beckley lets the hues slide from deep violet toward greens, reds and oranges, creating a vibrant halo that reinforces the idea of depth. Inside, the colors become even more intense, crossed by thick white bursts, in drips and splashes, which give an impression of brutal and luminous movement. One moves constantly from the dark frame to these colored cores, establishing a singular balance between rigorous structure and explosive energy. At the center of the work, these three bands concentrate all the tension, in a visual rhythm that pulses across the surface.
