Colored ribbons seem to glide at the center of a large white background, leaving plenty of air around them. John Beckley organizes this movement in successive layers: broad turquoise and pink gestures cross more translucent veils, creating areas of transparency where the colors blend gently. In places, a regular pattern of small pink and yellow hexagons brings a graphic, digital touch that contrasts with the fluidity of the curves. Fine white splashes and nervous loops further animate the surface. The whole retains an impression of lightness, the composition seeming to float in the light.
