The fuchsia line that crosses the five panels imposes a continuous, musical movement, which John Beckley fragments and then reconstructs from one module to the next. This large luminous curve glides over very structured dark backgrounds, cut into rectangles and bands that give the whole a precise rhythm. The lighter areas, where pink blends with white and violet, bring vibration and create zones of turbulence around the main trajectory. The fine grey lines, straight or slightly curved, reinforce this impression of circulation and layering. The work lies in this balance between the rigor of the division and the freedom of the colored gesture that crosses each panel.
