The eye glides from panel to panel, guided by these large white diagonals that cross the entire composition. John Beckley organizes the space into a constellation of colored lines, sometimes crisp, sometimes splashed, which create a very lively rhythm between the four modules. The luminous flat areas stand alongside denser zones, covered with dots, grids, and meshes that give depth and an impression of relief. The vivid colors cross, overlap, and fragment, as if the image were being built in motion. At the center, the convergence of the strokes heightens this sensation of speed and circulation that runs through the whole polyptych.
