The composition is built in four panels that align a single colored trajectory, like a ray crossing the space horizontally. John Beckley articulates this line with a very luminous central band, made up of orange, yellow and bluish rectangles, which stands out against the deeper red and violet backgrounds. All around, white bursts, projections and quick black lines give the impression of a sudden, electric movement. Grids of small regular dots bring a more measured rhythm and accentuate the effect of depth. One has the sensation that this central energy crosses the painting from side to side, held by the geometric structure yet always in motion.
